The Jotsoma Officers’ Krotho (JOK) today held its 11th annual meeting here at RCEMPA premises with Minister for Social Welfare & Parliamentary Affairs Kiyanilie Peseyie as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Peseyie said the role of JOK is very important towards planning and preparing to usher in all round development in the village. He urged the officers to take sincerity and honesty as the foremost tool to deliver efficient service to the people. He also called upon the officers to cope with the competitive world and apply better mechanism for the well being of the society.
Also stating that the government has been putting its best effort towards the growth of education in this modern society, he stressed on the need to adopt a comprehensive strategy to boost the economy of the people. He said every individual needs to know their responsibility to have an identity of self righteousness.
Further, the minister said that conducive atmosphere is necessary for all round development and urged upon the people to maintain peace and unity.
Mission facilitator Rev. Dr. Mazie Nakhro, the main speaker, spoke on the topic “A different kind of public servant.” He challenged the public servants to know their responsibility and give their best and sacrifice for the welfare and uplift of the society. He also called upon the bureaucrats to maintain utmost honesty and transparency.
JOK President Er. Kevide Nakhro said JOK has been encouraging Jotsoma citizens who get through prelims in the UPSC and NPSC exams. JOK also announced to honor anyone from the village who clear IAS exam with an award of Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 50,000 for NCS.
JOK General Secretary Keneido Peseyie shared the activities of JOK, while vote of thanks was proposed by JOK Vice President Kenilhusa Senotsu.
The function started with invocation prayer by Zakiezokho Nisa. The meeting also witnessed special numbers from Dennis Peseyie & Co. and Tsado Kro-u. The function was chaired by JOK Joint Secretary Dr. Konei.
