Jubilee Memorial College (JMC) felicitated its first graduating batch on June 8 at the college premises. Total of 22 students graduated in the Nagaland University BA Undergraduate examination with Akumsunep Longchar securing subject topper in Economics while Imlisenla Pongen and Molonglemla Longkumer securing the seventh and eighth rank respectively in Sociology.
At the felicitation programme, members from the Mokokchung Town Baptist Church and Board of Governors delivered short speeches where they congratulated the students as well as the teachers and encouraged the students to dream bigger and scale greater heights.
Dr. Imtiwati, Chairman, Board of Governors, JMC, said that JMC has made its mark in the map and that the students and the teachers should work towards making JMC distinct from others and to go where none has gone before.
Akumsunep Longchar, subject topper in Economics was felicitated with a certificate and cash award by Rev. Ponen Longchar, Pastor, MTBA. Akunsunep also testified on his success story and attributed his success to God and the JMC teachers and friends. He said that the two most important decisions he has made in his life is accepting God as his personal saviour and joining Jubilee Memorial College.
Jubilee Memorial College is a college run by the Mokokchung Town Baptist Church and was established in 2015. Out of 23 students, 22 cleared the final BA semester examination with 18 students in first class and 4 in high second class.
