Jubilee Memorial College celebrates fresher’s day

Jubilee Memorial College (JMC), Mokokchung celebrated its annual freshers’ day at Aongza Ki, Mokokchung with Sentilong Ozukum, SDO (C) as the guest of honour on July 30.

In the formal session, Dr Imtiwati Jamir, Principal, JMC, gave the welcome address, in which he warmly welcomed the new batch of 2022 to the JMC family. 

Sentilong Ozukum exhorted the students with three questions that each student should ask themselves, which included the questions of “identity, purpose, and destiny.” He said that the present generation of learners are a generation of innovation and creativity and “if they are not innovative and creatively built, they will be left behind as they progress in the future.” He encouraged the students to have sheer determination and hard work and to have the desire to succeed so that they can become someone in life.

Temsuwati Kichu, Pastor, MTBA, pronounced a special prayer for the fresher. 

In the informal session, 12 contestants, six boys and six girls, contested in the JMC Mr & Ms Fresher 2022. Nochetlong and Moamongla were crowned the title. The panel of judges were Moasenla, Miss Mokokchung 2018, Akumyala, Vice-Principal, JMC, and Lanuakum Jamir, former President, MTBA Y/D.
