‘Jubilee is a time of celebration and to move forward’

  Dimapur, November 13 (MExN): Government Middle School, Model Village, Dimapur celebrated its Golden Jubilee on November 13 at the school premises with Zhaleo Rio, IAS (Retd), Deputy Speaker, NLA as the Special Guest.   Zhaleo remarked that "Jubilee is a time to celebrate, to retrospect and to introspect, and to move forward for the best in life.” He also feted the pioneers in the field of education including those of the school, stated a press release from NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II A/C Media Secretary Thejangukho Yalietsu.   The guest also affirmed that education is the main backbone of the society and dwelt on its importance in raising children towards a responsible and civilised society.   Rio further called upon the villagers to be role model for everyone around them, in character and values, education, sanitation.   Earlier, the guest also unveiled the Jubilee monolith. The program was chaired by Atoni Hibo, invocation by Keviyiesu Neikha and a welcome song by GMS students.   On behalf of his father, Late Rajulhuvi Kruse, first teacher of the school, Er Kevisekho Kruse, Retd. Chief Engineer brought message of greetings followed by Sibiü Visezo, another among the list of first teachers. Kradi Neikha, Retd. Head teacher, shared a brief history of the school while MC Sekhose, VC Chairman, delivered a short speech.
