“I was a part of the Miss India 2007 and won 2 subtitles. After that I modelled in India with my base at Delhi and worked for almost all the leading designers and magazines of India. I shifted my base in late 2009 to New York and landed a 3 year contract with Ikon Model Management NYC. I have walked for the Couture week, New York, the Chocolate runway show and walked for 2 designers at the New York fashion week to name a few. Then I came home for my Christmas holidays and what I thought to be a holiday turned out to be something completely different. Earlier this year, a couple of friends and I, in India decided to work on a project in the Northeast India to help upcoming artists in our region in the fashion and entertainment industry and it has worked out. Now we run the ‘Northeast India Academy of Performing Arts’ which has courses for modelling, styling, make up, hair styling and beauty for this year and we give out 100% job assurance to all our graduates.”
