Chümoukedima, March 30 (MExN): The 1st edition of Super Six Night Cricket tournament organized by Hands of Change, Chümoukedima concluded on March 29. The tournament was conducted at Local Ground Chümoukedima with the theme ‘Play for a Cause.’
Juggernauts CC Kohima emerged the champions of the tournament after beating Big Shots CC. The winners walked away with a prize of Rs 20,000 along with a Running Trophy while the runners up took home Rs 10,000.
For the closing ceremony, Seyiekhrietuo Solo, EAC Chümoukedima and Dietholhoutuo Sesa were the guest of honour and special guest respectively.
The tournament was sponsored by Rotary Club Dimapur, TL Park New Chümoukedima, Moon Hardware Chümoukedima, Roy Arcade Chümoukedima, Ballon Buddies Chümoukedima, Lakabi Clothing, Pier Tours Kohima, Moonlight Alishan Biryani House Chümoukedima, Little Hut Chümoukedima, HMT Tent House, Akolie Entreprise, KS Garage Chümoukedima, BN Sound Chümoukedima.
Among the individual awards, Arjun of Big Shots CC was named the best bowler while Santosh of Big Shots CC was adjudged the best batsman. Monoj of Juggernauts CC was awarded player of the tournament. Jafrul of Juggernauts CC was awarded Emerging Player of the tournament.
