JVC lauds govt

Kohima, July 15 (MExN): The Jotsoma Village Council (JVC) expressed gratitude to the PDA government for taking up improvement work of the Jotsoma Science College Road.


The Council also thanked the contractor for improving the condition of the road.


It further thanked the State Government for taking up the improvement work of both Jotsoma Bye-pass road and Laike road from the BRO.


The JVC in its statement said that it is the Bye-pass road is the lifeline of the State, especially with heavy landslides during the monsoon season. But otherwise, it is a forgotten and most neglected stretch in the State, it observed.


Potholes are filled during the annual social work by the Jotsoma villagers during the Chada-Nyi, but it does not last, the JVC said, and welcomed the government’s initiative to improve the Bye-pass road. It further said that the concerned department and the contractor should not hesitate to inform the Village Council in case of any problem, so as to solve them in the best way possible.
