K Hetoi Baptist Church celebrates golden jubilee

Rev Dr Phughoto Aye, Executive Secretary, WSBAK along with church leaders and village elders at the unveiling of jubilee monolith of K Hetoi Baptist Church on February 20.

Dimapur, February 25 (MExN): The golden jubilee celebration of K Hetoi village Baptist Church was held on February 20. Villagers along with guests and invitees congregated in the village church and observed the occasion while also reflecting back on the memories of the village that was established as a small hutment fifty years ago. 

A jubilee monolith erected to mark the celebration and to pay tribute to the pioneers of the village was unveiled by Rev Dr Phughoto Aye, Executive Secretary of Western Sumi Baptist Churches Association (WSBAK). Rev Phughoto was also the speaker of the jubilee service.  

Western Sumi Kukami Hoho, President, S Vihuto Yepthomi shared greetings. Church leaders, GBs and well-wishers from neighboring villages attended the occasion. Secretary DOYM, WSBAK, N Suhuto Chishi released the jubilee souvenir. Chief of the village, Kakuho Yeptho also spoke on the occasion, welcoming the congregation. Rev Niqheje Yeptho, Pastor Zhekishe Baptist Akukuhou said the offertory prayer. Itokhu Chophy, GB and Chairman, Jubilee Planning Board proposed vote of thanks while Hotoli N Yeptho Associate Pastor (Youth), K Hetoi Baptist Church said the benediction.
