Kohima, September 8 (MExN): The Khezhakeno–Kikrüma Badminton Association (K2BA) held its 3rd Open Badminton Tournament 2025 at Multi-Purpose Hall, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Kohima on September 6.
The tournament drew an impressive participation of 60 players from both villages.
Under-40 category, Kolo Chikha & Nuhütso Vero emerged as champions while Velüo Tunyi & Mütü Puro stood runner up.
Above-40 category: Champion- Ado Kezo & Kapulo Koza. Runner- up- Zhalie Puro & Joshua Koza.
Earlier, Povezo Puro, president, Kikrüma Association, Kohima graced the event as the special guest and lauded K2BA for creating a platform that not only promotes healthy competition but also strengthens community ties through sports.
K2BA president Joshua Koza chaired the inaugural function while Bizo Puro delivered words of acknowledgement.
The prize distribution ceremony was led by Zhalie Puro.
The day-long tournament concluded with renewed determination to promote badminton as a unifying sport.
