Kohima, November 26 (MExN): Kohima Ao Baptist Arogo Creating Awareness for Restoration of Environment (KABA CARE) as part of continuously making a stride towards a greener and cleaner Kohima organised a cleanliness drive on November 26 from Lerie colony to High School area and from Paramedical junction to TCP gate. Each of the seven fellowships under KABA was specifically assigned an area to be cleaned.
KABA Youth Director Tiatoshi Longkumer in a press release said that it was basically picking up of trashes and waste. However, overgrown bushes beside the highway were also cleared and clogged drainages were also cleaned. KABA CARE committee comprising of leaders from respective fellowships were overseers of the drive.
Longkumer said that the aim of this drive is to keep our streets clean and at the same time proliferate awareness among the denizens of Kohima about the tire need to sustain our future through greener means.
KABA CARE called upon every individual to upkeep neatness and quality sanitation in our nearest vicinity; the amalgamation of individual tidiness shall make Kohima, a greener and tidier capital.
Today’s KABA CARE cleanliness drives coincides and corresponds also to the cleanliness drive organized by many of the colony panchayats under Kohima Municipal council limits.
