KOHIMA, OCTOBER 16 (MExN): The 5th Kohima Ao Baptist Arogo (KABA) Youth Golden Jubilee Memorial Bible Quiz was conducted on October 16 at Ministers’ Hill Ao Baptist Church Kohima. A bi-annual event, the quiz competition was started in 2002 commemorating KABA youth’s 50th year anniversary.
“This Bible quiz was initiated keeping in mind the importance of reading and knowing the word of God, understanding that we needed to go back to the Word in a rapidly changing world,” stated a press release. KABA Youth Director, Tiatoshi Longkumer reiterated the importance of the word of God, and stressed on how our knowledge of the Word has become stagnant today.
This year, 11 churches participated in the inter-church quiz competition based on four books of the Bible - Micah, Ruth, James and Philippians. Central Baptist Church Kohima emerged as the winning team and bagged a cash prize of Rs. 10,000. Second placed Poumai Baptist Church Kohima won a cash prize of Rs. 8,000 and third placed Phom Baptist Church Kohima won Rs. 6,000.
