Actress Kangana Ranaut intends to write a book on her struggles and the way she has dealt with it. "The way I have dealt with my failures has been very heavy and I would like to write a book about that, how success will never teach you anything" said Kangana.
"So I've been struggling for the past 10 years, and I think that's what has shaped me as a person today. I don't know whether people consider me as successful or not - that is a very external aspect of one's growth. But, I think I'm a very successful person on a very personal level. And when you lose something or face failure, it's about how you deal with it and not lose your self-respect and self-worth," added Kangana.
The Queen actress also said that success, all over the world, is overrated. "Ten years of humiliation, rejection, embarrassment could've made me believe what the whole world thought about me. For example, if they thought of me as a loser, I didn't think of myself as that. Or as what the world or my parents thought of me. That's why I could do what I did in my life. Not just in India but all over the world, winning and success is so overrated," she said.
Kangana, who aspired to be a doctor before she decided to enter the film industry, said that the system of success or 'standing first in class' is prominent since schooldays. She was also reprimanded by her parents if she didn't score well in class. "We need to tell our children that it is okay to fail. There is nothing wrong in it. Nothing lasts forever. That kind of spirit needs to be there," said Kangana.
Kangana also feels that this kind of prominence given to success creates a feeling where rejection becomes hard for people to accept.
"Rejection is so hard to deal with, for anyone, especially men. There's no acceptance for the fact that this woman doesn't want or that she doesn't have feelings for me. Usually that is the intention and I feel that is the reason why violence against women is increasing. That kind of rejection triggers it," said Kangana.
Kangana also confessed about being physically abused by a celebrity from the industry and how she is fighting back physically and legally.
