Apprises union minister of flood situation
Kohima, July 7 (MExN): Nagaland’s Soil & Water Conservation and Geology & Mining Minister V Kashiho Sangtam called on Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister for Jal Shakti in New Delhi on July 6.
In the meeting, Kashiho had a fruitful discussion with the Union Minister wherein he apprised the latter of the flood situation in the state, especially in the plain sectors where flooding occurs every year during the monsoon season. The Minister also submitted a proposal to the Union Minister for dredging three main rivers in the state during the current financial year, to which the Union Minister assured to look into the matter.
