Mon, February 7 (MExN): In order to uphold and observe Free, Fair and Clean Election within the Konyak jurisdiction, a joint consultative and coordination meeting was held with various political parties on February 7 at KBBB Mission Centre. KBBB CEC Convenor Nyamto Wangsa in a press release stated that the meeting was convened by the Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjum (KBBB) Clean Election Committee in the presence of the Konyak Union (KU), Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong (KNSK) and the Konyak Students’ Union (KSU).
The meeting unanimously resolved and adopted the following points for strict adherence and compliance:
Clean Election: No party shall indulge in any anti social activities, unlawful act or any means of forceful aggression against any individual, household or groups. Election code of conduct should be strictly adhered.
Mutual Respect & Dignity: In order to uphold mutual respect and dignity amongst various political groups, no party shall act as an obstacle or create any disturbances towards any Intending, opponent candidates or party workers. All political parties should restrain and refrain from filing complain or creating disturbances during nomination, scrutiny process, polling day to till vote counting day.
Precaution & Prudence: All Political parties should ensure that, no election related incident occurs aftermath February 27, 2918. All political parties should keenly ensure for peaceful atmosphere.
Caution: In event of non adherence or violation of the above points, respective political party functionary or candidate shall be held solely responsible.
