Mokokchung, August 1 (MExN): The Christian Education Ministry, Kumlong Baptist Church conducted a ‘life skills’ seminar for the children with resource persons from different fields including Ayimba T Longchar (Cartoonist, Ao Milen), Rev I Lima Jamir (Pastor, KBA), Lanukumzuk, Longrangty Longchar, Lanumeren, Aongsen Aier, Nochang Longchar and teachers Wapangchila and Nukshinaro.
The children were given the choice to select nine field of their liking like writing, social work, cartoon drawing, handicrafts, hygiene etc; each group had a resource person who was assisted by the Sunday school teachers. The children were intensively enlightened on the different topics of their choice by the resource persons.
Kumlong Baptist Church, which covers both the Kumlong and Mongsenbai wards of Mokokchung town, is one of the biggest churches in Mokokchung. The Christian Education Ministry of KBC conducts different programmes from time to time so that the children would be moulded up not only spiritually but also be allowed to become responsible members of the society.
Associate Pastor of CEM, KBC, Moanaro Imchen has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the resource persons, the children and the Church for the successfully holding the seminar.
