KBSU third edition of literary cum cultural event held

Kohima, October 16 (MExN): The Khulazu Basa Students' Union (KBSU) organised its third literary cum cultural event on October 13 and 14 at Government High School, Khulazu Basa village under the theme ‘promote and enrich culture.’ 

All four schools in the village - Government Primary School (GPS)-A, GPS-B, Government High School, and Zanubu Mission School participated in various competitions such as solo, duet, choral, quiz, poem, drawing, prepared speech and spelling bee.

During the occasion, Vetazo Tetseo, VEC, spoke on the importance of discipline, respect and obedience and encouraged the students to take the teachings of the elders into practice.

Teacher-in-charge of GHS, Medothi Rhakho laid emphasis on the importance of education. He said one should not limit learning from textbooks alone but explore and discover new skills and talents as education is an all-round development. 

Education Secretary of Kohima Chakhesang Students' Union (KCSU), Verakho Rhakho said that education is a journey that enables a person to make correct decisions in life. He also spoke about education as the third eye of a human being.
