KBTCBC receives Blyth’s Tragopan, quail bird

Kohima, January 30 (MExN): The Kohima Blyth’s Tragopan Conservation & Breeding Centre (KBTCBC) has received two numbers of Blyth’s Tragopan (male and female) and another quail bird of Pheasant family from well wishers of Viswema village who prefer to remain anonymous.

“The deed of our well wisher is very much appreciated and would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to him and his family,” stated to Keneikrul, deputy ranger, in-charge officer, KBTCBC.

A donor was quoted as saying, “Let this be an example to our brothers and sisters to stop hunting down our wild birds and animals and start loving them as we need them to live to have a wholesome environment.” Taking a cue from this good deep, Keneikrul encouraged other friends from Nagaland to be more environmentally friendly and come up with their own innovative ideas to conserve “our dwindling flora and fauna.”
