KCCI directs for mass social work on Nov 24

KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 22 (MExN): Kohima Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) has called a mass social work, in view of the upcoming annual Hornbill Festival on November 24 from 6:00 am-12:00 pm starting from Lerie to High school Area. As such, all Traders and Business community under Kohima Municipality have been requested to halt business activities and down their shutters till 12:00 noon.  

Secy Information & Publicity Henry Chisüte in a press release has further notified all business establishments along the stretch of the National Highway to paint their shutters and clean surrounding roadsides.  

Traders have also been asked to put proper light bulbs in the front facade of their shop/showroom and place dustbins so as to facelift the Capital City.  

Traders from TCP Gate till Kezieke (Old Tata parking) have been asked to bring buckets to fill water which KCCI will provide to clean the footpath and road.  

KCCI has further directed all shops, building owners, stalls at the Night Carnival to kindly decorate and beautify their establishments.  

The best decorated building and stall will be given a cash-reward on the concluding night of the Carnival.  

To attract tourists and revellers, Lucky Draw and Raffles with attractive gifts and prizes will be held during the Hornbill Kohima Night Carnival, it stated.
