KCCI gear up for Hornbill Night Carnival Kohima 2022

The Kohima Chamber of Commerce & Industries (KCCI) is gearing up to add colours to the festivity of the forthcoming 23rd edition of Hornbill Festival of Nagaland through Hornbill Night Carnival Kohima 2022 from December 1 to 10.

The stretch of this event will be from Y Junction till Razhu Point, wherein around 130 stalls will be put up and functional from 4:00 pm till 9:00 pm.

Announcing this at a press conference at Hotel Japfü here on Sunday, KCCI president, Kezhazer Angami, said the Hornbill Night Carnival Kohima has been a major attraction and an integral part of the Hornbill Festival.

On the road diversion during the carnival, KCCI president thanked the district administration, contractors, Kohima Municipal Council, Kohima Smart City authority and traffic police for coming forward in support of the event despite the limited time for the ongoing upgradation works of the Kohima Local Ground.

The problem for passage of vehicular movement during the Carnival has been settled, Kezhazer said.
With this, the revelers can now access Y. Junction to Razhu Point via Kohima Local Ground during Carnival period.

In the meantime, Multi Parking complex at New NST has been earmarked for parking purpose for time being for revelers with certain conditions.

Carnival convenor Tolto Vizol informed that KCCI has issued 120 licences for the stalls so far.

The carnival will feature food stalls, entertainment and all kinds of activities.

KCCI women coordinator and co-convenor of night carnival Azai Kerhuo said that there will be a lucky draw during the carnival in term of mobile photography contest, cleanest stall, most innovative stall and best decorated building.

Meanwhile, Kezhazer informed that in compliance with a mass social work for the business establishments in Kohima municipal area on November 30, all the shops have been requested participate from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM to clean and decorate their respective establishments.

The KCCI informed that there will be free access for revelers to the carnival and invited one all all to be part of the festivity.
