Kohima, March 2 (MExN): The Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) will be undertaking an exercise to issue Smart Photo Identity Cards to traders under the jurisdiction of the KCCI. This is being done to maintain a digital database of the trading community of Kohima.
KCCI Info & Publicity secretary in a press release said that this has the endorsement of the District Administration and the approval of the Kohima Municipal Council (KMC). The KMC will therefore not renew or issue new trade licenses for 2016-2017 and beyond to applicants who do not possess valid Smart Photo ID Cards issued by the KCCI. However, pending the issuance of the Smart Photo ID Cards, the KMC will entertain those applicants who possess receipts of Registration issued by the KCCI for the same.
All Traders are directed to register for the Smart Photo Identity Cards from March 3. The Traders must personally visit the Office of the KCCI for modalities for registration.
All those who have already had their Trade Licenses renewed or issued for 2016-2017 and beyond are also directed to contact the KCCI Office to register for the same within 30 (thirty) days from the date of this notification. Supporting documents should to be submitted.
