
Kohima, June 25 (MExN): The Kohima Chakhesang Students’ Union (KCSU) organized one day seminar under the theme, ‘Life skills and enhancing opportunities’ on June 25 at Mt. Sinai Higher Secondary School auditorium hall with Rozelle Mero, Managing Director, The People Channel and MK Mero, Commissioner and Secretary, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry as resource speakers.
Rozelle stressed on different kinds of skills- listening, speaking, analytical, managerial, reading and financial. She said that flexibility is the required skill for the younger generation. “Opportunities come in the most unlikely place, so we should grab when it comes our ways,” she stated. She further urged the participants to get out of the spoon feeding habits and “stand on our own feet and feed ourselves.”
MK Mero pointed out that the education system in Nagaland is not a job oriented system except for few. “Therefore, we have to strive harder to fit ourselves into the job market.” Further, asserting that Nagas are hungry for easy money, he reminded that “easy money goes easily.” He highlighted various schemes and projects available in various Government departments and stated that the public should approach the authorities of various departments and avail the same.
KCSU President, Hukhoto D Vadeo and General Secretary, Lucas Dukru in a press release informed that the seminar was moderated by Ngapunyi Krocha.
