
Kohima, June 29 (MExN): The Kohima Chakhesang Students’ Union (KCSU) has successfully organized a one day seminar on “Life Skills and enhancing opportunities” on June 25 last at Mt. Sinai Higher Secondary School Auditorium Hall, Kohima with Rozelle Mero, Managing Director, The People Channel and MK Mero, Commissioner and Secretary, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry as resource persons.
Rozelle stressed on listening skill, speaking skill, analytical skill, managerial skill, reading skill and financial skill. She continued saying, flexibility is the required skill for the younger generation. Opportunities come in the most unlikely place, so we should grab when it comes our ways.
She asked the participant to get out of the spoon feeding habits, adding it is time that we should stand on our own feet and feed ourselves.
MK Mero said, “The educational system in Nagaland is not a job oriented system except for few. Therefore we have to strive harder to fit ourselves into the job market.”
He further asserted that Nagas are hungry for easy money yet we should remember, “easy money goes easily.” He also highlighted various schemes and projects available in various government departments and asked the public to approach the authorities of various departments and avail the same. The seminar was moderated by Ngapunyi Krocha.
