
Kohima, March 3 (MExN): Taking into consideration the good health and safety for all consumers in Kohima, the Kohima Village Youth Organization (KVYO) has appealed to all fish vendors and crustaceans related market outlets and suppliers to adhere to the rules and regulations laid down by the Food Safety Cell, Health & Family Welfare Department. A press release from its President Dzüvinguzo Mepfhüo and General Secretary Vizoneilie Pienyü warned anyone selling formalin laced fish in and around Kohima shall be severely dealt with.
The KVYO acknowledged the Principal Secretary & Staff, Food Safety Cell, Health and Family Welfare Department and Officials of Kohima Municipal Council for their timely intervention and quick response in tackling the menace in Nagaland.
The Organization while sharing its confidence and full support with the concerned Department, appealed the authority to act promptly against those practicing illegal activities and penalize them as per the relevant sections of law.
