The award was conferred by Union Minister of Steel, Chaudhary Birender Singh at an award ceremony held at Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra for excellence and consistency in quality of their products and contribution in the steel production in North-East. Dilip Goenka, Managing Partner, KD Iron & Steel Co, speaking after receiving the award said that “The award will further encourage to achieve greater standard of efficiency, quality, safety and economy in our operation.” “If support from government is made available, industries of North-East can fare much better and can compete with national players in quality & consistency,” Goenka added.
