KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 6 (MExN): The Public Grievances Cell of the Kohima District Congress Committee (KDCC) headed by PCC member Zeneizolie Zacharia as Convenor visited the various market places including BOC, local vegetable vendors at Box Cutting and High School junction to check whether the shop-keepers and vendors are following the prescribed rates of Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) for vegetables, meat and fish products.
While visiting the said markets, it was observed that apart from the High School junction market, the other two markets were neither following the KMC prescribed rates nor were they displaying KMC rate board for public information.
In this, the KDCC Public Grievances Cell appealed to the shop keepers to display the KMC rates in front of their shop for the customers.
The KDCC Public Grievances Cell further encouraged the public to ask the shop keepers to display the KMC rate so as not to take advantage of lockdown.
The cell also urged KMC to control the different rates in the town as it varies from junction to junction.
Earlier, the Kohima District Congress Committee (KDCC) led by its President, Kevi Vizo held a sitting with the 14 Southern Angami-I Assembly Committee Congress Committee officials at Congress Bhavan Kohima on September 4.
During the meeting deliberations were held with regard to the party’s stand for the upcoming bye-election of the Assembly Constituency. However, no final conclusion was made, informed a press release from the KDCC General Secretary for Information and Publicity, Yangertemjen.
