Kohima: The Kohima District Farmers Producers Organization (KDFPO) has informed that the horticulture department has provided amount to the organization and enabled them to construct four marketing place cum go-down at four zones - Sechu Zubza, Khuzama, Tsiese Basa and Henbenji under Kohima district. Besides, the department is making all efforts in providing seasonal crop seeds, water pumps, other mechanized items etc. to uplift the living standard of the villagers through Self Help Groups (SHGs). It may be mentioned that under the banner of KDFPO, there are 85 registered active SHGs under horticulture department. These SHGs are getting opportunities to sell and exhibit their products on various occasions like Hornbill Festivals, Republic Day etc. This was stated in a release issued by Kezhaselie K. Kuotsu, president KDFPO.
