Kohima, October 28 (MExN): Kohima District Legal Services Authority (KDLSA) in compliance with the directives of the National Legal Services Authority will conduct two-day mass door to door campaign in and around Kohima district on November 2 and 3 in commemoration of National Legal Services Day which falls on November 9.
The purpose of organising the campaign is to make known the various functioning of the Legal Services Authority such as availability of the legal services institutions and services that can be availed by the people in the district and how people can get their entitlements under the laws and welfare schemes meant for different sections of people, informed Mezivolu T. Therieh, Chief Judicial Magistrate & Secretary, KDLSA in a press release. In addition, booklets, pamphlets and flyers will also be distributed during the nationwide campaign.
The release mentioned that Legal Services Authority exists to provide free and competent legal services to the poor and marginalised sections of the people so that no person is denied access to justice due to economic factor. All the denizens of Kohima district have been informed to avail the free services as and when the Panel Lawyers and Para Legal Volunteers approach their homes.
