
Kohima/Dimapur, August 27 (MExN): Kohima District Legal Services Authority (KDLSA) organized legal awareness on Child Friendly Legal Services to Children and their Protection Scheme 2015 with Sunday school children of City Church, Kohima and Ao Baptist Church Kohima AG fellowship on August 27.
At Ao Baptist Church, Wapangienla, Panel Lawyer KDLSA discussed on Child Labour Act 1986, JJ Act 2000, Prohibition of Child Marriage Act 2006, RTE, Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act 2012, and cyber crimes. At City Church, Apila Sangtam, Panel Lawyer KDLSA spoke on POCSO Act 2012 and JJ Act 2015, while Nancy Lotha, Panel Lawyer KDLSA spoke on cyber crimes.
Meanwhile, Dimapur District Legal Services Authority (DDLSA) organised legal awareness programme with youth department at Konyak Baptist Church Dimapur on August 27.
Kekhriel-u Mezhu, Sentimenla, Rokovitsu Kate, and Zuchumpeni Ngullie, Panel Lawyers DDLSA, spoke as resource persons on various topics – Cyber crime, POSCO, Consumer Protection Act, and Domestic Violence – at the programme.
Questions were asked during the discussion session on topics from Domestic Violence, Consumer Protection Act.
Panel Lawyer DDLSA Khumchuba Chang highlighted the aims and objectives of Legal Services Authority. Summing up the programme, Ajongba Imchen, Secretary DDLSA and Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dimapur encouraged the youth participants to avail the free legal services.
