Kohima, July 1 (MExN): Kohima DLSA organised legal awareness programme on various welfare schemes, rights and privileges at Chiechama Village, whereby the programme was chaired by Medochiituo Kiewhuo, Panel Lawyer on June 30.
NSLSA Public Relations Assistant in a press release stated that topic on ‘Right of Women’ was presented by Keduvi Zhotso, Panel Lawyer by sharing on how crimes against women and child should be eradicated in the society and their rights should be protected. Various procedures on law for women were also shared.
On various welfare schemes for women under social welfare department, Apila Sangtam, Panel Lawyer shared on how to get registered on various schemes ICDS, POSHAN Abhiyaan, Angawadi centers, PMMVY, vocation training for adolescent girls, old age pension schemes, schemes on disability, National family benefit scheme, Nagaland Adolescents girls club etc.
Topic on ‘Rights to Free Legal Aid’ was presented by Vikehiepie Sirie, Panel Lawyer by sharing about the working procedures of legal services and what is free legal aid who are entitled, and how to approach the front office. The programme ended with a closing remark by Nulhuvolu Rhakho, Panel Lawyer with 70 beneficiaries.
