KDYU observes fasting & prayer at Pungro

Kiphire, February 9 (MExN): The Kiphire Displaced Yimchungrü Union (KDYU) observed fasting and prayer programme on February 7 at Shorih colony Pungro town, in remembrance of the incident of February 7, 2016. A press release stated that innocent Yimchungers of Kiphire town were harassed and houses and properties worth crores were destroyed and burnt down by the Sangtam mobs on that fateful day.


Earlier, the programme was chaired by Joint Secretary KDYU, Tomukam while invocation was pronounced by Keoshu Home Evangelist PTBC. Short speech was delivered by President KDYU C Neoji. Special prayer was led by Church Secretary PTBC Lohomong while vote of thanks was proposed by Chairman Shorih colony Pungro town, Samuel. The Union acknowledged every individual and families of Kiphire displaced Yimchungüs for cooperating in the programme.
