In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kudatech Engineering and Consultancy Services (KECS), under the ambit of Kudatech Skill Centre has developed an ‘Automatic Body Sanitizing Chamber’ and ‘Touch less Hand Sanitizer Dispenser.’

The automatic body sanitizing chamber and touch-less hand sanitizer dispenser, as the name suggests, are fully automated, and sensor-based, Er Kapil Thapa Principal Kudatech Skill Centre told The Morung Express on May 16.

The automatic body sanitizing chamber is designed in such a way that when a person enters the chamber, the circuit gets activated, and a fine mist of sanitizer is sprayed before the person exits from the other end.

The hand sanitizer dispenser also works along the same principle as the sanitizer is dispensed when a person puts his hand under it.

The products have been developed by a team of entrepreneurs and engineers under extreme testing conditions and are fail safe, he said.

Two trainers and two engineers, along with technicians were involved in developing the first model. The project took them about one week, according to Thapa and cost around 40-50 thousand Rupees, for the automatic body sanitizing chamber and roughly around Rs 2500 for the touch-less hand sanitizer dispenser.

The team conducted a demonstration at CMO’s Office, Civil Hospital in Dimapur on May 14, and is awaiting a response from them.

Er Kapil Thapa, said so far only the first model is available for demonstration and on receiving orders, the team will take up production of more units. District Administration Mon has also shown interest in the model and has contacted the team, Thapa informed.

Regarding its use, Thapa said,”The products can be used anywhere and is actually needed everywhere.” Schools, hospitals, banks, institutions and any place where a large number of people may gather will need this kind of sanitizing machines, he said.

The team looks forward to angel investors and competent authorities for large scale manufacturing and installation in various institutions throughout out the state, Thapa added. The KECS team can be contacted at 9789941718.
