Kejriwal quits as Delhi CM after Lokpal fiasco

New Delhi, February 14 (IANS): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Friday resigned after failing to table the Jan Lokpal bill in the assembly, ending 49 days of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) rule in the capital. Kejriwal, who became chief minister Dec 28 at the head of a minority government backed by the Congress, had threatened to quit if he failed to push ahead with the bill aimed at curbing corruption in high places.
