Nagaland Power & Parliamentary Affairs Minister, KG Kenye today called upon the Nagas to be inquisitive to high sensitive issues and important issues confronting the Naga society.

“Ask again, Ask again, Ask again,” he said and told the people not to just shake their heads and swallow whatever is told to them.
Kenye said this while addressing the inaugural session of the 77th General Conference of the Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) on February 1 at Losami village in Phek district.

Asking the people be responsible citizen, he regretted that “Many things have gone wrong. Many truths have been buried.” We have to start a new note on a clean chit, he said.

Stating that Nagas have missed many opportunities, Kenye said “Let us not try to point fingers.” “We have to stop blame game,” he said. We keep blaming each other. We keep trying to find faults in our leaders,” he said and stressed on the need to do away with the same.

Stressing on the need to be more mature, he said “Unless we prove ourselves to be more mature and responsible enough to take or shoulder a heavier, higher and more responsibility, our aspirations will not just come out of the blue.”

In this, the minister stressed the need to be more practical and realistic.

For better or for worse, how prepare are we if we achieve our aspiration of a sovereign, independent Nagaland? Kenye questioned.
