Kezes Krotho Kohima celebrates Silver Jubilee

Kezes Krotho Kohima celebrated its Silver Jubilee along with the inauguration of the Kezes Krotho Shadze at Lerü Medi (below ISBT), Kohima on December 13, marking a significant milestone in the organisation’s 25 years of dedicated community service.

The programme was graced by Helievio Solo, Chairman of the Kohima Village Council, as the Special Guest, who formally inaugurated the Kezes Krotho Shadze.

Addressing the gathering, Solo congratulated Kezes Krotho on completing 25 years of service and lauded the organisation for promoting unity, social responsibility and cultural values among the youth.

He expressed hope that the newly inaugurated Shadze would serve as an important centre for community activities and stand as a lasting legacy for future generations.

“Shadze” is one of the prominent cultural heritage institutions of Naga society. Traditionally built at central locations, it serves as a common meeting place where community members come together to deliberate on important issues related to the welfare and development of the society.

The programme began with an invocation by Kezhakietuo Belho, Associate Pastor, Khedi Baptist Church, followed by flag hoisting by Ruokuosietuo Whuorie, President, Kezes Krotho.

Vimhalie Pienyü, Convenor, Finance Committee share greetings while Khrielakuolie Suohu, Convenor, Organising Committee highlighted the formation, vision and journey of Kezes Krotho over the years.

The organising committee also honoured the Jubilee Patrons in recognition of their support and contributions towards the organisation and the construction of the Shadze.

A special segment was release and presentation of the Silver Jubilee souvenir, led by Er Medozhazo Rutsa, President, Kohima Village Youth Organization (KVYO).

The programme was compered by K Daniel Solo and Sedevizo Zatsu, while a special Tati Pfhe was presented by Pfuchazünuoko.
