Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Kohima along with District Health Society, Department of Health & Family Welfare, NHM conducted Medical Health camp at Kezoma Bawe village Council hall on November 21.

Dimapur, November 21 (MExN): A total of 150 inhabitants of Kezoma Bawe received health services during a Medical Health Camp conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Kohima along with District Health Society, Department of Health & Family Welfare, NHM on November 21.
According to a press release received here, 19 persons were screened for HIV and 103 for Malaria while services including 17 dental procedures, 10 AYUSH procedures, 64 eye screenings, 9 Obs & Gynae, and 20 ENT screenings.
Similarly, 112 persons were screened for non-communicable diseases out of which 11 were identified with Hypertension and 3 were diagnosed with Diabetes, it said.
Hearing aids were provided to two patients while lab tests with free medicines and distribution of IEC materials was done during the camp.
CMO, Kohima and all Program Officers, ENT, Obs & Gnyaegologist, Eye Specialist from Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima, DPMU, BPMU Jakhama block, SMO I/C with Viswema CHC team, MO I/C with Kezocha PHC team conducted the health camp, it stated.
As per the release, a programme was also held at the Village Council Hall wherein Kohima CMO Dr Tumchobeni imparted awareness on the responsibilities of the community towards practicing better health seeking behavior and advised them to actively participate in ensuring sustainable health care services.
