Kezoma Village Students’ Union celebrate 50th anniversary

The Kezoma Village Students’ Union (KVSU) has celebrated its 50th anniversary from December 27 to 28 last under the theme “Gratitude and Reviviscence” at Kezoma Council Hall.


The celebration extended befitting salute to the KVSU pioneers and renew its vision to move ahead for progressive future.


Unveiling the 50th anniversary monolith today, youth resources & sports advisor Er. Zale Neikha was optimistic that the celebration of the KVSU 50th glorious years would go a long way in bringing peace and oneness to progress further.


He urged upon the students to maintain punctuality and discipline to excel in their academic career.


He challenged the students to study hard and also develop the habit of asking questions in order to clear doubt and also gather more knowledge.


Touching on the advantage of modern technology, he, however, called upon the students to avoid excessive use of cell phone and prioritize study.


Er. Zale urged the students to choose the right course after graduation and also go for coaching for competitive exams.


Stating that job avenue in the government sector has reached its saturation point, he called upon the educated unemployed youth to engage themselves in the entrepreneurial activities for gainful employment.


To become a future leader, Er. Zale said one must treat elders and parents with dignity and respect.


Maintaining that today’s students are future leader, he called upon the students to actively partake in the extracurricular activities like singing, playing, debate, extempore speech etc etc.


He also challenged them to join the platform of NCC/Scouts & Guides, NSS to build confidence and leadership skill.


Earlier, Kezoma Village Council chairman Puhovi Tase, Angami Students’ Union (ASU) vice president Petekhrietuo Kiewhuo, Southern Angami Students’ Union (SASU) president Ketholeto Anthony Zashiimo and Kezoma Gazetted Officers Krotho president Kroneicho Naki shared greetings.


KVSU president Ruokuo Noho delivered presidential address while the inaugural function was chaired by organizing committee convenor Kikrosa Naki.


Medongol Thami, pastor Kezoma Baptist Church was the guest speaker on day 1.


Later, Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) president Kesosiil Christopher Ltu graced the valedictory session.


The two day long grand celebration was also marked by KVSU sports meet, release of souvenir, academic award, debate on “Modern technology is ruining human social interaction.”
