Nagaland CAWD & Taxes advisor Kudecho Khamo today encouraged rural women to pursue entrepreneurship.
Addressing the closing programme of "Skill Development for Rural Womem Through Mobile Skill Morung" at Chozuba organised by the Department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Khamo said that the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has been working for the promotion, empowerment and employment of the youth and women.
He acknowledged the government for bringing training the doorsteps of the people from the rural areas and empowering the women.
Pointing out that the trainees would now be venturing into their own business, he advised them to be prepared of the reality that they would encounter in life and told them not to give up but be hardworking.
He acknowledged the department led by General Manager of DIC Chozuba for providing the venue and other supports during the training and the Employment Skill, Development and Entrepreneurship for the sponsoring the training.
Entrepreneurship is the only way and best way to thrive in life, adding that it is the way to help others and contribute to the social change.
Savio Visa, Additional Director, Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in his speech said, women especially from the rural areas even if they want to get skilled but due to lack of opportunity and other obligations.
Vezota Rhakho, Deputy-Chairperson, Chozuba Town Council (CTC) urged the participants to make the best use to the skills they have gained during the training.
The closing remark was delivered by Talimoa, Coordinator, Pinnacle Skills, the training partner. The programme was led by Sekhosayi Vero, Employment Officer, Phek.
