
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 7 (DIPR): Industry & Commerce Minister Khekiho Zhimomi has called against condemnation of government buildings/properties at the the monthly meeting of the Dimapur District Planning and Development Board was held on August 7 at the DC’s Conference Hall under the Minister’s chairmanship.
While reviewing the last meeting minutes the Chairman said that all departments should discourage issuing of No-objection certificate against existing Government quarters to individuals or to any organization. The Minister appealed to all concern heads of departments to report to the DC or the problem should be highlighted during the Board meeting.
He also expressed concern at the mushrooming of hostels in and around Dimapur without proper basic amenities for which the board decided to have a proper monitoring system under the supervision of district administration.The Chairman also reminded that whatever is deliberated should not be ended here but should be taken forward by each individual department to pursue for further implementation.
The PWD (Housing) and PWD (Road &Bridges) departments submitted their profiles and activities for the current year. The Department of Veterinary and Sericulture were informed to submit their activities and profiles in the next meeting.

1. Constitution of Verification Team for LADP 2006-07
2. Upgradation and opening of new schools:
Upgradation:
1. Immanuel School, Chumukedima, Dimapur.
Opening of new schools:
1. Little Feet Montessori School, Industrial Village
2. Herbert Spencer’s School, Walford, Dimapur.
Change of School name:
Rangailong Baptist English School to Bethany school, Burma Camp, Dimapur.
The Board discussed the above mentioned proposals and forwarded them for further recommendation.
