Mon, March 17 (MExN): Special Olympics Nagaland (SON) is organizing Khelo India for People with Disabilities (PwDs) for Mon district. The Community Coaches Training (CCT) Program will be held on March 20 at DC conference hall, Mon from 10:00 am, while the District Games (DG) for PwDs will be held on March 21 at Local Ground, Mon Town from 7:00 am.
A press release from SON has requested social workers, community bodies, sports coaches, SSA teachers, family members of PwDs to attend the CCT certificate program. PwDs from villages/ outstation can avail TA upto Rs.200/- per head, the release added.
SON Khelo India will provide T-shirts, medals, certificates, breakfast and lunch; however all are requested to carry sufficient drinking water, it further stated.
Meanwhile, SON extended gratitude to World Vision India-Mon Unit, Mon District Handicapped Society, and especially K. Thavaseelan, Deputy Commissioner of Mon for his “strong support” in all the local arrangements.
