Nagaland will be co-hosting Khelo India University Games Ashtalashmi (Wrestling) from February 22 to 26 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
The event will be organised by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports with Government of Nagaland and Nagaland University.
The inaugural function will take place on February 23 at Hall B, Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima at 3:30 PM.
Nagaland’s chief minister Neiphiu Rio will grace the opening ceremony as the special guest.
S. Keoshu Yimkhiung, advisor for Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland deliver welcome address. Kethosituo Sekhose, Director, Youth Resources & Sports will chair the function.
In the light of Khelo India University Games 2023, and as part of the city activation and pre-event awareness, the organizer conducted Mascot tour at various sites from Meriema to Thizama on February 20 and also at different location within Kohima City on February 21.
