DIMAPUR, JULY 30 (MExN): The Khonoma Village Council, Khonoma Women Union and Khonoma Youth Organisation today served a 15 day ultimatum for the capture of the accused in the murder of a woman from Khonoma, who had escaped from police custody in Kohima on July 22. A joint statement from the three organizations demanded that the concerned authorities re-arrest the accused and bring him to trial in court for delivery of justice as per the law. They further demanded that immediate action be taken against the officials responsible for the escape of the accused “due to dereliction and callousness in duty.”
