The 66th Chiechama Village Sports Meet 2024 (Wrestling) under the aegis of Chiechama Village Youth Organization (CVYO) took place today at Amphitheater, Chiechama village under Kohima district.
Khriesetuo Sogotsu from Sogotsu khel bagged the champion title while Vilienyü Metha from Metha khel stood 2nd position
Vivor Rio from Rio khel and Keneingusa Metha from Metha Khel bagged the 3rd and 4th position respectively.
In Under 16 Years Category, Keduolhoulie Chadi from Zumvü khel bagged the 1st position, while Vikeduozo Metha from Metha khel, Menuokhriezo Metha from Metha khel and Neikeduozo Metha from Metha Khel stood 2nd, 3rd and 4th position respectively.
9 wrestlers from senior & 5 from junior categories will be representing Chiechama village and compete in the NASA D Meet at Tuophema village, to be held from January 18 to 19.
Earlier, Dr. Kevizakie Rio, Joint Mission Director, Samagra Shiksha, Department of School Education, Government of Nagaland graced the occasion as the inaugural guest.
Earlier, CVYO president Delie Metha delivered presidential address and CVYO wrestling secretary Vizoseu Metha administered oath to the wrestlers.
The inaugural session was led by CVYO general secretary Keduoneilie Daniel Dzeyie.
The closing function was graced by Pukuolie Chadi, Head GB, Chiechama village as the special guest.
CVYO finance secretary Thepfukhrietuo Riipreo chaired the prize distribution ceremony.
