Pfutsero, March 27 (MExN): The Khrokolo foundation Khelo India centre was inaugurated at the Multi-purpose building, Pfutsero on March 26 by Japheth Woch ADC, Pfutsero. As per a press release, the programme was organised by the Glory Peak Shuttlers under the aegis of Khelo India, where Badminton was undertaken as the main discipline.
Officials from Phek District Sports Association, Phek district Badminton Association and the District Sports Office, Phek were also in attendance.
The special guest, in his speech encouraged the young trainees to play not just for the love of the game but also target to become professionals. He said that government jobs have become limited, so sports is a good alternative to pursue and make a living.
The Khelo India programme has been introduced to revive the sports culture in India at the grass-root level by building a strong framework for all sports and establish India as a great sporting nation.
