
Kidima, October 30 (MExN): Kidima Catholic Youth Association Day was observed under the theme ‘Peace be with you’ (3 John 1:15) from October 29-30 at Kidima. Reverend Father Thomas Muttathil, Parish Priest was the main celebrant. Addressing the gathering of young people, he maintained that the present challenge was to show good example to youngsters, respecting elders and extending helping hand to one another, informed a press release from P. Tepekrovi Kiso. Father Muttathil urged the youth to pray and overcome evil things in day to day life through the power of Holy Spirit. He encouraged them to work for the glory of God and serve other people. Krovito George, Local Catechist of St Francis Xavier’s Church, Kidima, who was the main speaker on the theme, said obedience, love and discipline could result in attainment of peace in life. He also urged the youth to receive marriage sacrament to keep a blessed family. Eucharist celebration, blessing of the harvest and enchanting for the glory of God were the highlights of the sacred session, the release added. Competitions were held between St. Alphonsa and St Teresa houses during the programme, which was also attended by Franciscan Sisters of Saint Mary of the Angels (FSMA), parents, and children.
