
Dimapur, April 18 (MExN): Two businessmen from Dimapur, hailing from Bihar, who were allegedly kidnapped over some monetary deal, have been rescued in Guwahati.
The main accused in the case is absconding, though his wife has been apprehended, the PTI News agency reported, citing a police officer.
As per the report, they run shops in Dimapur town and they were allegedly kidnapped by the main accused from near Guwahati railway station early on Friday morning, the report said.
Thereafter, they were confined to a house in Notboma area of Guwahati, and the police rescued them on Monday after a tip off, the report added.
As per the official, the kidnappers had sent videos to the families of the victims, demanding Rs 10 lakh as ransom and the police are investigating the motive behind the incident and also are on look out for the main accused.
