Kiphire, August 7 (MExN): The GMS Longya ward in Kiphire town organised a blood group testing camp at the school on August 7. The school authority invited a “clinic technician” specifically for the students of GMS Longya ward.
In an update received here, the school Head Teacher informed the testing charges were borne by the teachers of the school by collecting among themselves. “The teachers carried out this philanthropic work to offer a little assistance to their own students. The Blood Group must be entered into UDISE Plus (a student app), but students cannot afford to pay, which is why the teachers decided to do this kind of work after a meeting,” he stated.
The effort put forth by doctors and technicians in coming to school and offering help to students was also acknowledged by the school.
Although the GMS Longya ward is situated in Kiphire town, it is not easily accessible by road or footpath. The students and teacher struggled to go to school faced by many challenges, the update stated.
