Kiphire, November 7 (MExN): On using of helipad ground for recreational activities by the public, the Deputy Commissioner of Kiphire, T Wati Aier has cautioned the citizens not to enter the helipad ground at all times except for utilising chopper services.
“Strict action in the form of imprisonment or fine will be imposed on all defaulters with immediate effect,” the DC Kiphire said while addressing the Kiphire District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting held at DC's Conference Hall, Kiphire on November 5.
The DC also requested the ward chairman, NGOs, and ward authorities to check the place from time to time, a DIPR report stated.
With the increase in drug abuse in the district among the youth, the DBDP meeting decided to send a proposal requesting of posting a Narcotic Officer to tackle the drug menace.
During the meeting, certificates were given to five tour guide trainees/operators, which was sponsored by the Aspirational District programme Fund (NEC), by the DC. Aier said that Kiphire is blessed with scenic natural beauty and landscape and tourists will visit the District occasionally for which he appealed to the trainees to assist the tourists at all times.
Fire & Emergency Services and District Disaster Management Authority, Kiphire presented their departmental activities. Samir Thapa highlighted some of the activities taken up by GIAN Gujurat (Grassroots Innovation Augmentation Network). GIAN is an NGO to undertake market research and project development to identify the unique products Of Nagaland.
