The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire today organized a farewell programme for the outgoing officers who have been transferred out from the district to different other establishments in the state.
Speaking at the programme, the Deputy Commissioner, Sedevikho Khro said that transfer and posting is not new in government service and organizing farewell programme gives an opportunity to reflect on the times spend together during the service.
The DC said that officers posted in the district, work tirelessly, sometimes 24x7 a week just for the welfare of the people of the district and added, “If at any point of time, we are insincere in our duties we have to rededicate ourselves and give more time to the work assigned to us.”
Further sharing his observation, the DC said that with the transfer of many dedicated officers from the establishment, it will have a difficult time to manage and referred to the transferred officers as historian of the district who knows the district very well.
On the occasion, the DC called upon the staffs present to respect everyone as equal and there should be no distinction between DC and a labourer when it comes to service. “Partiality should not be there in discharging the duties,” the DC stated. He also conveyed best wishes to the outgoing officers and to the new assignment.
Dr Tinojungshi Chang, ADC Hq, Lankonsen Tsanglao SDO (C), Banjamin Longkup SDO (C) and Wungam EAC also spoke on the occasion. The DBs of the district presented special folk song.
