Kiphire, June 28 (MExN): The Kiphire District GBs Association (KDGBA) organised a president tour programme at GB’s Union hall, Pungro in Kiphire on June 27.
During the occasion, President of KDGBA, K Tsilise emphasised the importance of unity in society, stated a DIPR report. He called upon the GBs to work for the welfare of the people and asked them to perform their duties sincerely. He highlighted the pivotal role GBs play in bringing peace, progressing their respective villages, and guiding villagers in the right direction, as they are the guardians of the people.
Short speeches were delivered by the Presidents of the GB’s unions of Seyochung, Sitimi, Longmatra, Amahotor, Kiusam, Khongsa Areas, and Yangsomong, Head GB of Pungro Town. A folk song was performed by the Pungro Sub-Division GB’s Union. The welcome address was delivered by Shahoto, President of PSGPU while vote of thanks was proposed by Kongkhiu, GB Ex-Chairman. The event was chaired by Shillen GB, Vice President of KDGBA.
