Kiphire District Planning and Development Board meeting held

Kiphire, February 21 (MExN): The District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Kiphire was held at DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer, NCS on February 19.

Discussing on the agendas, the board recommended the proposal for construction of soiling and metalling of road from Kipungya at ward-9 NH-202 to S.P Residence. The proposal for construction of EAC office at Amahator Town was deferred to the next meeting and entrusted EAC Amahator to prepare detail documents.

Deliberating on Shiksha Mitra Samarthan Abhiyan which was aimed at promoting students learning, DC urged all the heads of offices to carry out their visitation to primary schools and have interaction with teachers, students and to get their feedbacks. Shiksha Mitra Samarthan Abhiyan is a school adoption programme initiated previous year for the welfare of students. In regard to SHE Box Portal where all the District Heads have been added, and informed all the concerned to ensure the portal is operative.

The members also deliberated on improper vehicle parking on route towards Zisaji Presidency College, where the board decided to relocate the parking area to facilitate convenience for transportation.

The HoDs were also informed to collect their respective Government office site permit from the office of the Deputy Commissioner Kiphire. On the proposal submitted by the Officers Club Kiphire to conduct a sports event in the district, the members decided to hold in the second week of March 2025.

DC Kiphire also informed about the visit of Governor to Pungro subdivision and urged all the Department Heads related to Aspirational Programme to be present during the visit. He further urged the concerned HODs to direct their subordinate officers posted at Pungro to be present in the station during the Governor’s visit.
